BY TRAIN

Barnham Rail Station is operated by Southern Train. The link on the left is to the Network page with information on its services. It opens a page in a separate window in your browser: close that window to return here.

  • On exiting Barnham Rail station, turn left in a north-westerly direction along Barnham Road.
  • Walk through the centre of the village for about 10 minutes (staying on Barnham Road)
  • After you pass Church Lane on the left hand side, you will see Eastergate Village Hall also on your left.
BY BUS

Barnham is served by the Stagecoach 66 and 66a service from Bognor Regis to Barnham, Walberton and Yapton. The link on the left is to an Adobe Acrobat file showing the timetable for that service.

  • There is a bus stop within 100 yards of the Village Hall (see the Adobe Acrobat file showing a road map of the area, which you can print, by following the "By Car" link below).
  • If you miss that stop, retrace your steps back along the bus route in a north-westerly direction.
  • After you pass Church Lane on the left hand side, you will see Eastergate Village Hall also on your left.
BY CAR

Eastergate is a small village on th B2233 between Westergate and Barnham, about 5 miles north of Bognor Regis and just over 7 miles east of Chichester. BY CAR FROM
CHICHESTER
  • Take the A27 - signposted Brighton - until you come to the large Fontwell Racecourse roundabout (where there are a Little Chef/Burger King and a Shell Garage).
  • Take the third (3rd) exit on the roundabout onto Fontwell Avenue - signposted A29 Eastergate, Westergate, Barnham. The Stables Pub is on your right.
  • Drive on to the end of the road as far as the War Memorial on the mini roundabout.
  • Take the first (1st) exit onto Barnham Road which is the B2233
  • Eastergate Village hall is on your right before you reach Church Lane, also on your right.
BY CAR FROM
BOGNOR REGIS
  • Take the A29 - signposted Barnham - passing through Westergate.
  • At the T-junction, turn right along Nyton Road. continuing on the A29.
  • At the War Memorial on the mini roundabout, take the second (2nd) exit onto Barnham Road which is the B2233.
  • Eastergate Village hall is on your right before you reach Church Lane, also on your right.
BY CAR FROM
LITTLEHAMPTON
  • Take the A259 along Crookthorn Lane - signposted Bognor Regis - for half a mile.
  • Turn Right onto Yapton Road which is the B2233.
  • Follow this road through Yapton and Barnham, passing Barnham Train Station on your left.
  • Continue straight along Barnham Road on the B2233.
  • Eastergate Village hall is on your left after you pass Church Lane, also on your left.
